Capt. Josh Olive, LBC member and publisher of Waterline Weekly Magazine, sent this interesting drone shot of the preserve and surrounding areas, taken in early May.
This was in the midst of the drought and you can see by the brown coloration how dry higher areas of the preserve were! The water areas in the center of the photo are our restored and expanded Lemon Creek estuary. Beyond the creek, you can see three of our preserve freshwater ponds. Off to the right side of the photo, Lemon Lake in the county’s Amberjack Preserve is also visible.
