DESCRIPTION:We will paddle from Bill Coy Preserve on Buck Creek located at 5350 Placid Rd from the Coy Preserve kayak launch to Thornton Key\, across the intracoastal and explore the area.  Given the sometimes muddy conditions at the launch site\, this location will be evaluated the day before\, and any changes will be texted to participants.  Please bring kayak paddles\, personal flotation device\, water\, sunscreen\, snacks\, and a sense of humor.  Please call or text Charlie Woodruff at 914 799 0664.

SUMMARY:Juvenile Tarpon Research Net Pull
DESCRIPTION:Attention all new and returning Tarpon net pull volunteers\, are invited to participate in our  Tarpon pull event.  We will first need to load the seine net and other equipment in the Jon boat before using our UTV to tow the boat over to the ponds located by Fiddlers Green. Please use the Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve parking lot and plan to meet at the equipment shed at 7:45 am. After we have finished loading up\, you can then drive your vehicle over to Fiddlers Green and use the carpark there for your convenience. The actual net pull will get underway around 8:30 am starting with the smaller of the two ponds. If you have waders please bring them along with gloves\, a hat\, water and mosquito repellant. SUMMARY:Boca Grande Paddle
DESCRIPTION:We will paddle from Boca Grande kayak launch at 9:30am.  Please bring your kayak\, paddles\, personal flotation device\, water\, sunscreen\, sense of humor and snack/lunch.  After paying the $6 toll at the bridge\, go south a short distance past Boca Grande Hotel and Kappy’s and turn left on the dirt road with a Fishing Pier sign to the launch area.  Make sure it’s the dirt road and not a resort boat launch.  We will explore the pass to Little Gasparilla Island and the surrounding area.  Contact Charlie Woodruff for additional information. 914-299-0664.
