Volunteers are needed to help us plant 1000 bare-root slash pine seedlings at Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve on June 18, 19, and 20.
Volunteers will use a “dibble bar” to open a slot in the ground for each plant, drop the plant into place, and tamp the hole closed. Instruction on proper planting technique will be provided.
Volunteers are asked to sign up for one or more two-hour time slots on one or more of the three planting mornings. Time slots are 7 am to 9 am, or 9 am to 11 am.
