On Monday, February 4, 2019, noted environmentalist and former Sarasota County commissioner, Jon Thaxton, will be the keynote speaker at our Lemon Bay Conservancy annual meeting. Jon’s topic will be “Clean Water: Myths & Facts on Reducing Nutrients.” Reducing nutrients is essential for restoring the health of Florida’s waters and, most scientists believe, for reducing the severity of red tides. We invite all current and potential LBC members and donors to join us for Jon’s informative presentation!
The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm and will be held at the Cape Haze Community Center, 180 Spyglass Alley, Placida, FL 33946.
