The Lemon BayWatch team spent Saturday and Sunday Nov. 18-19 at the Family Conservation Center at Englewood Beach WaterFest promoting Lemon Bay Conservancy’s four major water quality initiatives. Our display featured the “One Dock at a Time” oyster gardening program, water quality monitoring training for citizen scientists, the “Eyes on Seagrass” program, and eco-tour kayaking for LBC members. All programs generated keen interest from WaterFest visitors who came from all over the Southwest Florida region, as well as local area residents, many of whom signed up to join our programs.
The Lemon BayWatch team thanks the volunteers from LBC, the Rotary, and the community who generously gave their time to help promote our water quality efforts and educate the public at this community event!
