**The 2014 Giving Challenge is now closed. Thank you to everyone who helped LBC by donating and voting **
Lemon Bay Conservancy is participating in the 2014 Giving Challenge, a program that provides special incentives and matching grants for donations to area non-profits during the 24-hour challenge window from noon May 6 to noon May 7.
As a wonderful added opportunity, anonymous LBC donors have guaranteed additional matching funds up to $10,000 for donations to the Conservancy during the challenge period.
Funds raised will be used for upcoming habitat improvement projects, for scholarships to send selected students to summer environmental camps, for educational field trips for local students this fall, and for expanding our land management endowment funds.
Make Your Donation: Beginning at noon on May 6th, visit www.givingpartnerchallenge.org, search for ‘Lemon Bay Conservancy,’ and make your tax-deductible contribution of $25 or more.” With the special matching grant opportunities, the value of your donation could be doubled or even tripled!
Cast Your “Free” Vote: You can also help by “voting” for LBC during the challenge period. A special allocation of 2014 Giving Challenge grant money has been set aside for the non-profits that have the most visitors to their Giving Partner profile pages during the challenge. Beginning at noon on May 6th, click here to open LBC’s profile page and cast your “vote”. After the profile page opens, your vote is “cast.” You can just close the window.
Unlike a real election, you can vote several times, but you must click the link above from different devices for each of your votes to register. So, for example, if you have a smart phone, a desktop, and a laptop, you can log on and click the link above to place a vote from each of those three different devices. – Only one vote from each device (each IP address) will count.
Join the 2014 Giving Challenge and help Lemon Bay Conservancy build an enduring legacy of environmental lands and environmental knowledge for generations to come!
The 2014 Giving Challenge is made possible by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, The Patterson Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation, and the Charlotte Community Foundation.
