SUMMARY:January Eco Kayak Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join paddle team members Charlie Woodruff\, Jayne Dean and Beth McKinley as they explore the ecology of Lemon Bay and its fascinating shoreline habitats. \nThe next tour is scheduled for Monday\, Jan. 8\, 2024\, beginning at 9:30 a.m.\, departing from Lemon Bay Park and Environment Center\, 570 Bay Park Blvd.\, Englewood\, FL 34223. The tour will last approximately two hours. \nParticipation is limited to LBC members and your accompanying guests.  Advance registration by no later than 4 p.m. the day prior is required.  Email Charlie Woodruff at cgw3@icloud.com \nAll tours will be subject to tide and weather conditions.  Participants must have their own equipment:  kayak or paddle board\, paddle(s)\, PFD\, water\, hat and sense of humor.  Liability waivers are required for each tour.

DESCRIPTION:Lemon Bay Conservancy invites you to announce join our paddle team for our last guided paddle tour for 2023 in Lemon Bay:\n\n\nThis guided paddle will be on  December 18 \,  Oyster Creek Boat Ramp Placida Rd.  Launch is scheduled for 9:30 am prompt\, please be sure to arrive on time.  This paddle is the second in our series of guided tours that will include an exploration along the south shore line around Lemon Bay. Examining both the positive and not so positive shore line conditions we observe\, the impact on our sea grasses will be an ideal topic for group discussion. This trip will be approximately 2 hours long\, depending on weather conditions.\n\n\n\n\nWind and conditions will dictate direction and destination for all paddles. The variety of paddler’s abilities will be taken in to consideration in order to determine how far the group will go. We recommend  that participants  be able to paddle comfortably for a minimum of 2 hours. Paddlers must provide their own kayaks\, paddles\, PDF\, whistle\, sunscreen\, water and a sense of humor. Participants are requested to sign up Sunday by 6 pm by calling either Charlie Woodruff at 914-799-0664 or the LBC office at 941-830-8922.
