Lemon Creek Wildflower Preserve is currently closed due to damage and debris from Hurricane Ian. However, we are offering a special opportunity on November 12th and November 26th to join a guided nature walk to explore the Preserve and witness the ecological impact of a category 4 hurricane on our subtropical environment. Trail conditions are rough. Long pants and close-toed shoes are required.
Join Tonya and Steve Bramlage as they lead a walk exploring the extraordinary resilience and revitalization of native vs. nonnative plants, bird population, and unique adaptations of post hurricane survival. Be sure to bring along your camera in order to capture a shot of what may be the largest uprooted tree rootball in Charlotte County.
These walks are scheduled for November 12th and 26th, 2022, from 9:00 – 10:30 AM.
