DESCRIPTION:Lemon Bay Conservancy is launching a new Lemon Bay Coastal Seminar Series featuring researchers who are leaders in their respective fields sharing fascinating presentations on coastal topics.  The first seminar is Thursday January 25th: “The Endangered Sawfish of Florida: Past\, Present\, and Future” – a critically endangered species occurring locally that has a “sixth sense” and grows to over 20 feet in length!  Our presenter will be Tonya Wiley\, President of Havenworth Coastal Conservation. There will be announcements and a quick LBC annual meeting just prior to this first presentation. \nAll programs will be held at the Cape Haze Community Center located at 180 Spyglass Alley\, Placida\, FL 33946\, at the intersection of Spyglass Alley and Spaniards Road. Parking is available on both streets. To reach the Community Center from Placida Road (Hwy. 775)\, turn west onto Cape Haze Drive. At the traffic circle\, take the first right (heading north) onto Spaniards Rd. The Community Center will be just ahead on your left.
