Individual volunteers and community organizations have stepped forward to create many improvements at the preserve.
For example, the trailhead kiosk by the parking lot was built as an Eagle Scout project.
The benches in the meeting meadow were designed and constructed by the Englewood Men’s Garden Club.
The tables nearby were donated by The Hammocks at Cape Haze condo association.
Electricity for the parking lot area was connected with funding from community leaders Tom Dignam and Jack Landis.
